1. High Body Fat Percentage The primary culprit is often a high body fat percentage. Even if you perform countless abdominal exercises, a layer of fat covering your abs will keep them hidden. To reveal those muscles, you need to lower your body fat. For men, a body fat percentage below 15% is essential for abdominal definition.

2. Ineffective Ab Workouts Many people make the mistake of relying on a single ab exercise.
